What version of the Bible does Spring Road Evangelical Church use?
We use the New King James Version of the Bible. We believe that it is a faithful translation that uses modern language.
What hymn books do Spring Road Evangelical Church use?
At our Sunday services we use the older edition of the 'Christian Hymns' hymn book. At the mid week meeting we use the 'Grace Hymns' hymn book.
Does Spring Road Evangelical Church believe in baptism?
We believe in 'believers baptism', for those that have been born again and are trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19).
Does Spring Road Evangelical Church have fellowship with other churches?
We enjoy fellowship with many other like-minded churches in the area and further afield, who share our convictions regarding the Bible and the good news of the gospel.
Does Spring Road believe in evangelism?
We believe it is our duty and joy to obey Christ's Great Commission (Matthew 28:19,20 & Mark 16:15) and to seek by God's grace to proclaim the good news of salvation by grace to all who will hear. This is why we proclaim the gospel week in and week out, through the various outreaches of the church.
Does Spring Road believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit?
We believe that the Holy Spirit is Christ's gift to the church (John 14:16). He is the one who indwells the believer and enables them to live to Christ's glory and grow in grace. It is through Him that the church is able to maintain its spiritual life and witness (Rev. 3:13). We also believe that His ministry is essential in bringing sinners to salvation (John 16:8-11).
